I've created TubeGetter.com primarily to provide a source for
12au7/ecc82/CV4003 and 12ax7/ecc83/CV4004 tubes.

I am interested primarily in selling the following tubes and their 12ax7/ECC83 equivalents:
Mullard short plate - 14mm - 12au7/ECC82 - shield logo
Mullard long plate - 17mm - 12au7/ECC82 - shield logo
Mullard short plate - M8136/CV4003
Mullard CV4003 - distinguishable by the KQDD marking. These have the more recognizable Mullard sound, where the M8136 is even more extended in the highs than most other Mullard designs. These were in production at full quality until a later date than any other model I know of.
Amperex Bugle Boy short plate - 14mm - 12au7/ECC82
Amperex Bugle Boy long plate - 17mm - 12au7/ECC82
Amperex 7316's (optimized tube- extremely rare, very expensive. super expensive in matched pairs and quads)
Radiotechnique 12au7/ECC82 - Several 1950's types still available for a very short time. One of my highest recommendations for a soon-to-be extinct 'wish I had grabbed those while they were still affordable' tubes. These are Mullards manufactured in France on the same Philips equipment as the rest.
Brimar 13D5's when available

Prices are based upon the following
criteria:
The rarity of the tube
The quality of the tube according to actual test results: When
possible, I select tubes based not just on longevity and matching,
but also on microphonics. This aspect is unusual to find from
many sellers, but I will make this benefit known when it is offered.
Matching where applicable

You will read the same information below on any reputable tube website:
It is an asset to the proper authentication of tubes when there is some, or even all, of the original labeling missing. Later fakes use a different substance that will not rub off. All of the true early Mullards, Brimars, and Amperex had very delicate logos. Literally, it is only the completely untouched NOS that will have a new looking logo.
